Promoting a stronger ethical investment policy in the Christian Churches

What's Going On?

Transfer of CEIG to ECCR

On 24th January 2008 an Extraordinary General Meeting was held at Church House Westminster. Proposals and minutes of that meeting can be found by clicking on the EGM link on the left hand menu. Those present at the meeting voted unanimously in favour of all proposals. In order to ratify the decisions at least 15 members were also required to vote in favour, and a mailing of postal members generated a further 35 responses, i.e. 39 in total.

The Christian Ethical Investment Group is therefore dissolved as an organisation and its assets, membership and administrative functions are transferred to the Ecumenical Council for Corporate Responsibility (ECCR, www.eccr.org.uk).

Please contact ECCR (see Contacts link) for further information.

Other Information

You can find all our contact details on the Contact page on the left hand menu.

On the menu to the left we have three documents: a responsorial confession with emphasis on ethical investment, as well as the wider issues of self-interest and how we use the world's resources; and a litany and liturgy for use in services or other gatherings where ethical investment is an issue. Have you written something similar and would like to share it with the wider community? Let us know on suggestions@ceig.org and we could publish it on this site.
