REDEMPTION

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Romans 8 verses 19 to 21

Christians believe that God, in his goodness, sent his Son into the world to bring the world – all mankind – back into a loving relationship with God.

The Christian message of redemption stresses:

  • The unique value of every human being - human dignity - there are no second class citizens
  • Justice – just as we are forgiven by God so we need to be merciful and upright in our administration of justice. There should be no partiality – we are all in the same boat!
